When Lois was in high school, she had gained a reputation as a person who studied a lot and who rarely, if ever, partied with her buddies. In her own words, "I never had a clue that I would become one of the alcohol poisoning statistics in the local newspaper. I now realize that irresponsible drinking is not the best for me. I swear that this will never happen again."

Fortunately, Lois was not only "school smart" but she also displayed a lot of. In other words, she immediately understood that she had made a mistake and decided that she would never make the same mistake again. In truth, she now understood that she had involved herself in "binge drinking" and that even one instance of this kind of careless drinking can end in death.
